Maintaining Managed Services and new Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
All of CodeNOW managed services are being constantly updated to safe releases to guarantee full functionality with security. On this C5W release, the CockroachDB managed service has been updated to v21.1.6 with the ability to set backups. Role-Based Access Control is now available in CodeNOW to provide additional levels of user secure access. And our design team has created a full set of icons to ease the use of the C5W self-service portal.

Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
CodeNOW’s newest feature of Role-Based Access Control:
- Three account users roles: OWNER, ADMIN, USER.
- Accessible from the new account administration section.

The new RBAC functionality is integrated into the path for adding new resources (applications, application components, library, environments, and managed service). When a user adds new resources they have administrative rights to manage the resource and user entitlements (e.g. applications, application components, library, environments, and managed service). And all resources screens contain a view of the permission for the logged-in user.
